I am delighted to welcome you to Rushey Green Primary School - a community school located in Catford, within the London Borough of Lewisham. We are a 3 form entry Primary School (530 children) from reception to year 6, with a successful nursery comprising a further 100 children. We also have an outstanding Centre for the Deaf which accommodates 12 pupils with hearing impairment from both inside and outside of the borough.
Primary schools in Lewisham are among the top performing schools in the country, and last year, children leaving primary schools in Lewisham achieved the fourth best results in the country.
At Rushey Green School we work in partnership with parents to provide an education, which celebrates everyone’s success, in a happy caring environment, where all our differences are valued.
Our building was recently extended and comprises innovative designs with state-of-the-art facilities. The landscaping works next to our Penerley Road entrance means that all visitors must use the Culverley Road entrance until further notice. These works are being supervised by English Heritage due to the presence of Saxon finds.
We hope you enjoy exploring our website, but nothing will be as good as paying us a visit! If you are new to the area, please call to make an appointment to view the school. If you are an existing parent/carer, you know you are regularly invited in to school.
Once again, thank you for visiting and we look forward to meeting you.
Ms Yana Morris,
We are holding a coffee morning for parents/carers from 9.00am to 10.30am on Friday 30th January.
