THE RUSHEY GREEN VISION: Our vision is for our school to be a centre of excellence, where all children develop the skills to become fully participating citizens and able thinkers, instilled with a lifelong love for learning, prepared for tomorrow’s world

Enjoying the Present – Preparing for the Future

I am delighted to welcome you to Rushey Green Primary School - a community school located in Catford, within the London Borough of Lewisham. We are a 3 form entry Primary School (530 children) from reception to year 6, with a successful nursery comprising a further 100 children. We also have an outstanding Centre for the Deaf which accommodates 12 pupils with hearing impairment from both inside and outside of the borough.

Primary schools in Lewisham are among the top performing schools in the country, and last year, children leaving primary schools in Lewisham achieved the fourth best results in the country.

We believe that children get the most from their education when there’s a strong partnership between home and school, and we hope that you will work with us to make sure that your child gets the most from being at Rushey Green.

Our building was extended in 2014 and comprises innovative designs with state-of-the-art facilities. The landscaping works next to our Penerley Road entrance means that all visitors must use the Culverley Road entrance until further notice. A number of Saxon remains were found during these works and they are now stored at the Horniman Museum.

We hope you enjoy exploring our website, but nothing will be as good as paying us a visit! If you are new to the area, please call to make an appointment to view the school. If you are an existing parent/carer, you know you are regularly invited in to school.

Once again, thank you for visiting and we look forward to meeting you.

Ms Yana Morris,
Headteacher

RGSA Summer Fair

**Summer fair on the 4th July**. We need as many parents involved as possible, you do not need to give a lot of your time but anything you can do, however small would be much appreciated. It really is a case of ‘many hands make light work’. We’d love to hear from anyone who has any particular skills or knowledge they think would be useful or from anyone who has any ideas for events or fundraising ideas.
