We will be holding open mornings for ‘prospective parents’ of children who are due to start primary school in September 2017 at the following times:

  • Wednesday 2nd November at 10.00am
  • Tuesday 29th November at 10.00am

To book a place to come along and have a look around our school, please phone the school office on 020 8698 5001 or send us an e-mail at: admin@rusheygreen.lewisham.sch.uk

If you have any questions prior to the above dates, please do not hesitate to contact us.

We look forward to meeting you all.

Our vision is for our school to be a centre of excellence, where all children develop the skills to become fully participating citizens and able thinkers, instilled with a lifelong love for learning, prepared for tomorrow’s world

Enjoying the Present – Preparing for the Future

I am delighted to welcome you to Rushey Green Nursery and Primary School, located in Catford within the London Borough of Lewisham. We are a 3 form entry Primary School from reception to year 6, with a successful nursery comprising a further 100 children. We also have an outstanding Centre for the Deaf which accommodates 12 pupils with hearing impairment from both inside and outside of the borough. Our school roll (Published Admission Number) is currently 570, rising to 600 in September 2016.

Primary schools in Lewisham are among the top performing schools in the country, and last year, children leaving primary schools in Lewisham achieved the fourth best results in the country. Our building was recently extended and comprises innovative designs with state-of-the-art facilities. A number of Saxon remains were found during these works which are stored at the Horniman Museum.

We believe that children get the most from their education when there’s a strong partnership between home and school, and we hope that you will work with us to make sure that your child gets the most from being at Rushey Green.

We hope you enjoy exploring our website, but nothing will be as good as paying us a visit! If you are new to the area, please call to make an appointment to view the school. If you are an existing parent/carer, you know you are regularly invited in to school. For news on local events, please browse the “Love Catford” website.

Once again, thank you for visiting and we look forward to meeting you.

Ms Yana Morris,
Headteacher
